Please familiarize yourself with the deadlines below to ensure your team is fully registered to compete in the 2027 Tennessee Science Bowl.
Important Dates for Teams

| October 5, 2026 |
School registration opens on the NSB website at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Coaches must preregister to secure their school’s spot in TSB. Only school, coach, and co-coach information is required at this point. |
| October 5, 2026- November 20, 2026 |
TSB Coordinator begins to approve school preregistration submissions. After approval, coaches can build their teams with student information. It is recommended to register additional teams if you have enough students. Doing so allows you to substitute a student after the team changes deadline. |
| November 23, 2026 |
Coaches must ensure NSB digital parental consent and media release have been submitted for each team member. Only after all NSB forms are signed by guardians will a coach be able to submit their team registration(s) on the NSB website. Please refer to the NSB Coach Registration Guide for more information. |
| January 4, 2027 |
During the week of January 4th, coaches will be notified which teams have been selected to compete and which have been placed on the alternate list. Team selection is contingent on available space and completion of all team forms. All first teams will be accepted before any second or third teams are accepted. |
| January 27, 2027 |
Changes to team members must be finalized by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Any changes made after this date, due to an unforeseen emergency, need to be communicated as soon as possible. Call Karen Brummett at (865) 207-3887 to provide details. Requests to make a replacement after this date may be denied. If a team has fewer than three members who are able to attend the event, that team will forfeit their spot and an alternate team will be selected. |
