This book is intended to introduce the reader to communication principles and tools for emergency risk communication. It provides content for an introductory course that addresses a number of topics critical to successful public, partner and stakeholder communication during an emergency situation.
The PowerPoint
slides have been developed for those who are training others in emergency
risk communication. Slides exist for the majority of the text and will
require the presenters to decide what is relevant for each audience. Slides
considered to contain essential information are marked with an asterisk
(*) in the lower right corner and should be included in presentations.
