Funds will support research experiences in Summer 2016 for periods ranging from 4-6 weeks. DHS anticipates making 10 individual awards. Applications from faculty/student teams are encouraged but not required.
DHS S&T will provide funding for travel expenses including lodging and per diem expenses up to $5,000 for participants who live more than fifty miles, one-way, from their assigned DHS Center or field study site. DHS will reimburse travel expenses for one round-trip airfare between the current address and the assigned DHS Center or research site.
Awards are contingent upon verification that the candidate’s home service academy is able to accept and support the conditions of the award.
Awards may not be deferred.
