This course provides training in basic fundamentals of radiological control principles plus practical factors, including dress-out, frisking, contamination control, emergency preparedness, and lessons learned. Topics to be discussed include the following:

- ALARA program
- Personnel monitoring programs
- Radiological postings and controls
- Radioactive contamination control
- Radiological emergencies
- Practical factors

Audience:

ORO employees whose job assignments include unescorted entry to high and very high radiation areas, contamination areas, and airborne radioactivity areas; and workers who may have contact with hot particles or use glove boxes with high contamination levels.
