 Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) Awareness Training  

 This training must be completed by ALL ORO Federal Employees and Direct/Support Service Contractors within 120 DAYS of joining the Oak Ridge Office.

Description:

DOE’s Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) Policy (DOE P 470.1) established a framework that is used to systematically integrate safeguards and security into management and work practices at all levels.  The foundation of ISSM is personal responsibility.  Managers and supervisors are responsible for ensuring employees understand security expectations, while each employee must understand what needs to be protected and why, and where they can turn to ask questions when they are unsure.  The ISSM Awareness Training provides an overview of the guiding principals for ISSM as they relate to each of its five core functions.

 All ORO Federal Employees and Direct/Support Service Contractors who are within 120 days of joining the Oak Ridge Office

Upon completion of the training, the Training Center will automatically be sent an electronic copy of your certificate of completion (federal employees only). However, everyone should also print a copy for their personal records.

Note: If you cannot access the ORO ISSM Web Site from your computer, this
training can also be completed at the ORO Training Center located in room G-110
of the Federal Office Building.
