Important Deadlines

Due to a limit of 60 teams and the growing number of teams that wish to participate, the following registration deadlines will be in effect for the 2018 TSB:

Team Registration and Form Submission for both Team 1 and Team 2

  • December 1, 2017: Deadline for registering Teams
  • December 15, 2017: Deadline for receipt by ORAU of all required student and adult forms for Team 1 and Team 2, including Code of Conduct and Assistant Coach/Chaperone Registration forms. Documentation from a school or district administrator is required for all school/district-required chaperones. Teams that fail to have required paperwork to ORAU by 4pm on December 15 will not be selected to compete. To ensure your spot to compete, we urge you to send in your forms within 2 weeks of registering online.
  • January 8, 2018: Announcement of teams selected to compete. Team selection is contingent upon available space and receipt of all forms; acceptance of teams will be based on the date and time of online registration: first come, first served! Teams that fail to have required paperwork to ORAU by 4pm on December 15 will not be selected to compete. All first teams will be accepted before any second teams are accepted.

Changes to Teams

  • January 23, 2018: Changes to team members must be finalized!! Any changes made after this date, due to an unforeseen emergency, need to be communicated as soon as possible. Call Barbara Dunkin at 865-574-6440 to provide details. Requests to make a replacement after this date may be denied. If a team has fewer than 3 members who are able to attend the event, that team will forfeit their spot and an alternate team will be selected.
