An education technology workshop was held for faculty attending the WIST conference. Presented by Barbara Summers, an education program manager in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Office of University and Science Education, The workshop demonstrated the use of technology to integrate classroom curriculum with current scientific research and development. Since connecting with mentors complements academic studies and research, the electronic notebook, a DOE 2000 project developed at ORNL, was demonstrated as a method to communicate effectively with mentors.
