Shadow-A-Mentor Program Brings Science to Life

The Shadow-A-Mentor program is always a success of the WIST conference. Thanks to the many volunteers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, participants spend an afternoon in a variety of research and laboratory settings, talking with scientists and watching them work. Participants are matched to mentors based on their interests.Not only can they observe science in action, but they can often identify potential mentors and contacts who can assist them as they pursue careers in science.
