Perfect "10"! For ten years, the Women in Science and Technology (WIST) conference has opened doors for young women considering careers in scientific and technical fields by providing them with valuable information, encouragement, and introducing them to successful women professionals. Sponsored by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), the WIST conference is designed to support and encourage women in the pursuit of degrees and careers in one of the sciences, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technology fields. More than 2,200 college women and high school seniorsalong with their professors and high school teachershave attended this conference in past years. Several special events are planned for this year's WIST conference, which will also celebrate ten years of helping young women get a head start on their careers. Highlights will include:
