U.S. Dept. of Defense

Research Participation Program at the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command/Central Identification Laboratory, Hickam AFB, Hawaii- opportunities to participate in research concerning battles and individual loss incidents from past wars. Research will focus on primary government documents as well as secondary sources. Purpose is to locate, exhume, and identify the remains of individuals killed during military service.


Visiting Scientist Program, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, InnoVision Basic and Applied Research Division- The NGA Visiting Scientist Program solicits applications for postdoctoral and visiting faculty full-time residency appointments to conduct research into the use of process models and tools to support NGA for GeoINT analysis. Analysts exploit and analyze imagery, imagery intelligence, and geospatial information to describe, assess, and characterize physical features and a wide range of geographically referenced activities on the Earth.


U.S. Dept. of Energy

Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Postdoctoral Fellowship Program- The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program solicits applications for postdoctoral fellows in atmospheric sciences and/or meteorology. The postdocs will be assigned to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Predictions (NCEP) with the goal of facilitating research interactions between the ARM program and NCEP. Research projects may include, but are not limited to, comparisons of model output with ARM data, inclusion of ARM-developed cloud and radiation parameterizations into NCEP models, and participation in single column model can cloud resolving model comparisons.


Fusion Energy Postdoctoral Research Program- Offers recent doctoral degree recipients the opportunity to conduct research in DOE fusion energy research and development programs. Participants acquire training in areas of fusion energy, interact with outstanding scientists and engineers, and have access to advanced equipment and facilities.
