Above: Dr. Paul Crutzen of Germany spoke on ozone depletion, causes, and solutions. Above: Dr. Richard Ernst of Switzerland discussed the fact that chemistry means responsibility and that science needs to operate on a global level with visions of an ideal world.

Above: Dr. Harold Kroto of England challenged the students to not believe anyone and to ask the right questions. Above: Dr. George Olah of the University of Southern California believes that science cannot worry about politics but must focus on solutions.

Left: Dr. Ahmed Zewail of Caltech asked the students to develop a passion for science, but not take themselves too seriously.

A social get-together for all 600 students and Nobel Laureates was held on Monday evening. The event included a German buffet, dancing, and many opportunities for students to interact with each other and the Laureates.
