Description:   opportunities to participate in environmental projects involving cultural and natural resources, restoration, compliance, conservation, pollution prevention, validation, demonstration, technology transfer, quality assurance and quality control, training, information management and reporting, and related programs

Eligibility:  U.S. Citizens Only. undergraduate and graduate students; postgraduates who have completed degree within the last three years; faculty members; and retired scientists.

Location(s):   Various locations across U. S. Locations outside the U.S. U.S. Army Environmental Command (Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD) and other approved locations

Duration:   up to one year; full-time or part-time appointments; renewable up to a total of three years full-time participation for postgraduates; renewable up to a total of four years full-time participation for postdoctorates

Frequency:  continuing

Awards made:  number varies

Deadline(s):  applications accepted on year-round basis

Benefits:  stipend based on research area(s) and academic classification; faculty appointment stipends based on regular salary

Funding source(s):  U.S. Army Environmental Command through an interagency agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy
