Despite the many months of planning and anticipation, it came down to Mother Nature. Weather in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and New York either delayed flights into Kennedy Airport, or cancelled flights altogether. By Saturday morning, a few students managed to depart, arriving in Lindau Sunday afternoon. By Sunday evening, six DOE and ORAU and three three NIST participants arrived in Lindau. The rest would assemble by noon on Monday.
