Description: The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program is soliciting applications for a post-doctoral fellow in atmospheric sciences and/or meteorology. The post doc will be assigned to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Predictions (NCEP) with the goal of facilitating research interactions between the ARM program and NCEP. Research projects may include, but are not limited to, comparisons of model output with ARM data, inclusion of ARM-developed cloud and radiation parameterizations into NCEP models, and participation in single column model can cloud resolving model comparisons.
Discipline(s): Atmospheric sciences and/or meteorology
Eligibility: Applicants who either have received the Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences or meteorology within the last five (5) years or will receive it by June 2003.
Location(s): At the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service, National Centers for Environmental Predictions (NCEP), Environmental Modeling Center located in Camp Springs, Maryland.
