- (Chris) Overwhelming project: This participant is having difficulties keeping up with the demands of the project.
- Potential Solution: 3. Discuss concerns with participant; offer assistance or arrange for special training or instruction if needed.
- (Lisa) Personality conflict: There is a personality conflict between this participant and another member of the research project team.
- Potential Solution 2: Meet with participant; document the problem and the meeting; then involve ORISE staff or HR staff at your facility.
- (Shena) Expectations not met: This participant's expectations of the research project are not being met.
- Potential Solution 4. Meet with participant, and be prepared to adapt or adjust the project based on participant's feedback.
- (Kevin) Homesick: This participant is withdrawing and seems to be homesick.
- Potential Solution 1: Be personable; share more than technical knowledge with him/her; help participant develop social activities.
