EXTRA: Read About It!
Friday began with a ferry ride to the
island of Mainau, where the Count and Countess Bernadotte live, for
the Closing Ceremony of the Lindau Meeting. The ferry ride gave the
students a final chance to talk with the Laureates, international
students, or each other to reflect on the past week. Following a tour
of the wonderful botanical gardens on Mainau and the Closing Ceremony,
the US delegation departed on their way back to Munich. While some
students broke off from the group to begin extended European travel, a
large majority of the group returned to Munich. On the way to Munich,
the group stopped in the town of Ottobeuren. This town is known for
its beautiful basilica. After touring the church, the group dined one
last time as an entire group. The memories of a fantastic trip were
the main topic of discussion. |
