Session Objective
The objectives for this session are to:
- Complete an Evaluability Assessment and identify strengths and challenges regarding partnership evaluation.
- Determine what evaluation questions participants most need to address with their partnerships.
- Describe pros and cons of two evaluation methods that might be used to answer these questions.
- Identify the indicators, data sources, and time frames that will be used to measure impacts .
- Describe the methods that can be used to report results to partnership, community and funders.
Session Summary
This intermediate level workshop provides participants with the action steps to execute their partnership evaluation plan. This session is recommended for participants who are developing an evaluation plan or in the process of implementing a partnership evaluation. Dr. Butterfoss provides a brief overview of partnership evaluation principles and how to select appropriate evaluation indicators for common partnership questions such as:
- Do you have adequate representation from stakeholder organizations?
- Are partnership members satisfied with the functioning, progress and leadership of the partnership?
- What proportion of partnership activities are focused on priority strategies?
- Which strategies are effective?
Additionally, the pros and cons of various partnership evaluation methods are discussed.
