Objective

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to describe how the Mission Possible and Moving Into Action materials can be used to generate new partnerships and leverage resources to conduct health education and policy and systems change activities.

Supporting Skills and Knowledge

  • Explain the rationale for expanding partnerships and developing MP initiative to prevent and control high blood pressure, and reduce heart disease and stroke.
  • Describe the purpose of the initiative, including uses for specific materials.
  • List specific ways the materials can be used to generate partnerships for health education and policy and system change activities.
  • Identify possible ways to evaluate outcomes.

Summary

During this session, a panel discussion will be led by NHLBI and states who have participated in the Mission Possible initiative on its value to the states by providing

  • Information on Mission Possible and how to use it.
  • Information on strategies for using Mission Possible materials.
  • Examples of how Mission Possible has been used by several states.
