Description

In Maryland , we provide funds and staff to operate a weekly radio show on a Baltimore radio station. The program, “The Healthy Life Radio Show” reaches over 3000 urban listeners an hour. The purpose of the show is to educate a primarily minority audience regarding issues of prevention of chronic disease. Local experts and community leaders are interviewed and answer calls from listeners. Community radio is an economical way of addressing the lack of health information in an urban community. More information can be obtained by visiting www.healthylifeshow.org.
