Projects addressing one of the 6 priority areas

Description

The Maine Cardiovascular Health Program will highlight collaborative initiatives that span several of the 6 designated priority areas. Included are: (1) A state-wide Stroke Awareness Campaign to increase signs and symptoms awareness and utilization of 9-1-1 , as well as linking to improved emergency response. (2) Overviews of five Healthy Maine Partnership mini-grant initiatives to address Signs and Symptoms awareness, use of 9-1-1, and risk factors around heart attack and stroke on the local level. (3) A Hospital Stroke Capacity survey that was developed to identify current capacity, existing challenges and opportunities around stroke care in Maine.
