Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe different types of Coalitions
  • Identify the steps needed to make a transition
  • Identify the steps in the campaign planning process at which evaluation must be considered

Summary

This session will focus on the communication campaigns of two state Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention programs. The presenters will discuss their planning processes, decision-making rationale, costs incurred, and their lessons learned. An open discussion of issues surrounding the development, implementation, and cost of communication campaigns delivered using a social marketing methodology will follow the presentations.
