Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Review AHA/ASA strategic plan & priorities
  • Explain the role that State Health Alliance’s strategies and staff play in achieving these priorities
  • Review and describe the current focus of State Health Alliance staff
  • Provide a summary of State Health Alliance accomplishments and successes from this past year

Summary

This session will discuss the American Heart Association’s State Health Alliance efforts and accomplishments. The presenters will review the AHA’s current strategic goals and how State Health Alliance partnerships with public health have a positive impact on achieving their mission of reducing death and disability from cardiovascular disease and stroke.
