What is a research travel visit?

A research travel visit is designed to provide the opportunity for short-term collaborative research (up to 15 working days) that is related to the ongoing research at the host laboratory.  The program is designed for full time faculty and graduate and undergraduate students from accredited U.S. colleges and universities.  Application to the program is made through ORISE to ORNL.  All travel under the program is initiated on a trip by trip basis by the sponsoring ORNL division.  Individuals interested in traveling to ORNL must first contact an ORNL staff member to discuss the proposed research and determine the availability of funding.
