To be eligible, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien (PRAs are subject to DOE clearance approval for laboratory entry).
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be pursuing a degree or career in science, mathematics, engineering, technology, or related fields.
• Have a grade point average of at least 3.0/4.0.
• Have received a two-year college or bachelor’s degree within one year of the participation term.

• Summer:  February 1
• Fall:  June 1
• Spring:  October 1

Note:  It is recommended that you submit your application by the deadline.  However, applications are accepted at any time.

• 2-12 months consecutively
• No return
• Part time:  1–3 days per week in 4 hour increments only

• Post-AAS: $400/week paid bi-weekly
• Post-BS: $450/week paid bi-weekly
• $75/week housing allowance (for students whose permanent residence is outside a radius of 60 miles of ORNL)
• Tuition and fees for off-campus programs (offered at the discretion of the research mentor)

All of the following must be submitted for the applicant to be considered:

• Completed application form.
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended.
• Two academic references.
