Description: fellowship awards provide opportunities for study and research in the area of fusion energy sciences and technology related to the development of fusion energy
Discipline(s): physical sciences, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline
Eligibility: bachelor's recipients; first year graduates, and second year graduates who will NOT have progressed beyond the end of the second year of graduate studies when the fellowship begins in the fall of 2005
Location(s): participating universities with practicums at various U.S. Department of Energy research facilities
Duration: one year; renewable for two more years
Frequency: annually

Benefits: $19,800 stipend; some travel expenses; additional $750 per month during the practicum; tuition and fees
