The Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is pleased to host the Department of Energy Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Program Review on July 20-23, 2009, in Hauppauge, New York. The meeting is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
A primary goal of this meeting is to identify strategic, innovative partnerships to advance the nation as a world leader in research and development. This meeting is open to and encourages the participation of faculty, researchers, staff and students from colleges and universities; researchers and user-facility coordinators from national laboratories; EPSCoR representatives; and policy and industry leaders. Participants will learn tools for implementing successful state-national laboratory collaborative projects and creating student training opportunities. The meeting will span the breadth of EPSCoR research areas—sessions will range from basic energy sciences, to nanoscience, to bioenergy/biofuels, to partnering with the National Laboratories. All efforts are invited to bring poster(s) for display during the poster session.
Principal investigators; state and facility directors; postdoctoral researchers; and undergraduate and graduate students involved with EPSCoR grants are invited to submit one extended abstract per project. Recipients of implementation grants are welcome and encouraged to bring more than one poster. Abstracts for additional poster(s) should be under one page and provide both the title of the grant as well as the poster title, poster PIs, etc.
Meeting Registration Deadline is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone, Monday, July 6, 2009
