Extended Abstract Guidelines
The submission deadline has passed. Abstracts are no longer being accepted.
EACH EXTENDED ABSTRACT SHOULD CONTAIN:
- Program Title, Principal Investigator(s), Mailing Address, E-mail
- Program Scope or Definition
- Recent Progress
- Future Plans
- References to publications of DOE sponsored research that have appeared in 2007-2009 or that have been accepted for publication.
MAXIMUM Length: FOUR pages, single spaced (including references); left margin must be at least 1”.
Figures and Tables: As appropriate, while maintaining the four page limit.
Extended abstracts will appear after the agenda and poster abstracts will be ordered by state, institution, and then by PI. This will be the only guide for people seeking your abstract. Please submit your abstract by Monday, July 6, 2009, using the abstract submittal form.
The acceptable file type is PDF only. No other formats will be accepted. Note: We have encountered some difficulties with image quality in the past with PDF files created by TeX. If you use TeX to create a PDF file, please replace the default fonts with Adobe-like fonts in order for the image to be clear in both printed and screen formats. The Abstract Book for this meeting will be assembled into one PDF file and distributed to the meeting participants on CD-ROM (in color).
If you have any questions about the preparation or submission of your abstract, please contact Dr. Timothy Fitzsimmons at tim.fitzsimmons@science.doe.gov or 301-903-9830.
Poster Guidelines
Posters are an integral component of the EPSCoR meeting. While there is only one extended abstract per grant, implementation awardees and national laboratory representatives are welcome and encouraged to bring more than one poster. State-National Laboratory awardees should limit themselves to one poster. Additional posters should submit a brief abstract of under one page incorporating both the title of the grant followed by the title for the poster, poster PIs, etc. Again, please submit your abstract(s) by Monday, July 6, 2009, by using the abstract submittal form.
Posters should be designed for table-top display.
A poster abstract submission reserves a poster board at one of the poster sessions during the program review.
