Reviewers' Comments: "This is a very good on-line training course for Hazard Communication, covering Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs); labeling and marking; employee training sessions; and the written right-to-know plan for OSU. It is very good information but would require the removal of OSU-specific material for it to be used in the DOE Federal or contractor setting. It is well written and seems to be on a level that is easy to understand. Material flows in a natural sequence and the training does give examples of MSDSs and other training material, which should help the user obtain the information. However, it does not have many interactive activities to involve the user in the training instead of just reading through the text and taking a short exam at the end of the material. This training essentially has 4 different modules. Each module seems to be on one very long page, with a “next” button at the bottom. When the user gets to the end of the page, they can get to the next page several different ways, with one being hitting the “next” button. There is also a quiz at the end of the course which covers the material very well." |
