[Music in the background]

NARRATOR: “Many people are tired of thinking about HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.  Christina never stops thinking about it.”

WOMAN: “I first learned that I was infected a year ago.  I, was just so shocked, I, I didn’t know what to do.  At first I thought, this has to be a mistake; uh, this has to be a mistake, you know, this couldn’t have happened to me.  Um... you know, I’m not a drug user, I’m not even promiscuous.  Um…HIV has affected my life in about every way possible, ah…with my friends, my family.  All my relationships have changed.  You know, I wanted to get married.
I wanted to have kids.  Um...you know, I wanted to have it all basically, and now I don’t know if I can have any of it.”

NARRATOR: “If you’re tired of thinking about HIV, talk to someone whose really sick of it.  Find out if you put yourself at risk.  Call 1-800-342-AIDS. A message from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.”
