Our group has witnessed the presentation for the MaNDi funding by very prestigious people. The funding will not only help the ORNL, but has major implications for understanding completely many unresolved biochemical, medical, pharmacological, as well as material applications.

The highlight of this conference was the presentation given by Nobel Prize winner, Herbert A. Hauptman.

In addition, we toured a lab where a novel molecular sampling device was being produced. The prototype devices have the capability of rapidly analyzing up to 16 different samples, are field portable, and appear to have wide application in the war on terror (bio-terrorism), law enforcement forensics, medicine, as well as environmental application.

We studied the implications of the human genome and its potential usage in Nanotechnology, Pharmacology, and Evolution.
