Q: What researcher should be listed first?

A: List primary student researcher first.


Q: Who should receive acknowledgements?

A:

For COE students: “This project was funded through the ________ Center of Excellence by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, Office of University Programs.”

For Scholars and Fellows:  This project was funded through the ________ program from the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, Office of University Programs.”

Q: Can a student submit a poster even if they will not be able to attend the event?  If not, can they have an advisor or colleague present the poster and travel in their place? 

A: Yes.


Q: Is the competition restricted to U.S. citizens only?

A: No.


Q: Is the limit one student per poster?  For example, can two students submit a joint project?

A: Yes. But DHS will pay for only one author to come & present.
